Frequently asked questions
Therapy is a collaborative relational process and therefore will require a readiness and willingness to engage. The following are some areas to consider.
Emotional Readiness and Willingness: therapy requires vulnerability and a willingness to reflect
Commitment: Please consider the time required to not only attend a weekly session, but the motivation to work on changing.
Life Circumstances: Practicalities to consider: such as time, finances or big life transitions can impact whether therapy is accessible or sustainable.
Please book your free 10-15 minute consultation to discuss this and any other questions by emailing hello@suehyunkim.com
The length of sessions will be determined based on many factors and can be discussed in our first session together.
While you are never fixed into any amount of sessions, I ask for an initial six week commitment to build therapeutic momentum.
Short term counselling is available as well.
The first session is a space for us to get to know each other and see how we can work together. The first few sessions, I’ll ask questions about you, your history, what’s brought you to therapy, and your hopes for therapy.
We will also discuss practicalities and review any administrative paperwork too.
You are welcome to bring questions about the therapy. I look forward to getting to know you, to book your first session, please email hello@suehyunkim.com,
